Arguably our most personal project—this was our first home in Greenwich at the start of launching my own firm—this Colonial taught us the art and delicate balance of combining the furnishings of two design-minded adults, albeit with disparate styles! Furniture was largely traditional, running the gamut from 18th century French to a 1920s American pharmacy cabinet repurposed in a bar area. We found cohesion by pairing much more contemporary works of art we collected together, including photography by Vik Muniz and Massimo Listri, with the furnishings we both loved. Kids rooms combine function with whimsy, not juvenile but not taking themselves too seriously. This true labor of love caught the attention of the Greenwich Historical Society, though the home was only built in 2005, which featured it on their House Tour.
